South on I-85 into the Triangle
Raleigh is about 170 miles south of Richmond — out of the city, through Petersburg, down I-85 across the North Carolina line, and into the Research Triangle. It’s roughly a three-hour drive, which keeps most of these moves a same-day job. A heavier load might stage overnight and deliver first thing the next morning.
